Vietnam 6-Lane Four Side Seal Gel 30g Sachet Packing Machine Project

Customer Packaging Requirements

For this Vietnam project, the customer required the machine to pack gel and jelly products with a filling weight between 15 g and 30 g per sachet.

The confirmed packaging specifications included:

• Product: Gel / Jelly

• Filling weight: 15–30 g per sachet

• Packaging style: Four side seal sachet

• Filling system: 6-lane piston pump

• Bag width: 50 mm

• Bag length: 200 mm

• Maximum adjustable bag length: 220 mm

• Total film width: 600 mm

• Packaging material: Composite film

• Top and bottom sealing width: 5 mm

• Left and right sealing width: 6 mm

• Tear notch: Straight tear notch on the right side

Because the packed product is a gel-type material rather than a free-flowing liquid, selecting a suitable filling system was especially important.

For this application, we used a multi-lane piston pump dosing system to match the customer's gel and jelly products.

SF-720 6-Lane Gel Sachet Packing Machine

The machine selected for this project was the Samfull SF-720 multi-lane sachet packing machine.

It is designed for simultaneous packaging across multiple lanes and can be customized for different filling systems depending on the material.

For this project, the machine was configured with six piston pump filling channels.

Each lane operates together with the film forming and sealing system, allowing multiple sachets to be filled and packaged during the same production cycle.

Compared with a conventional single-lane machine, a 6-lane sachet packing machine provides manufacturers with a more compact way to increase packaging capacity without installing several individual machines.

6-Lane Piston Pump Filling System

The filling system is one of the key parts of this project.

Because the customer's product is gel / jelly, the production order specifies a piston pump filling system rather than an auger filler or gravity-based powder filling system.

The piston pump is suitable for controlled dosing of semi-liquid and viscous products.

For this machine, six filling channels are installed to correspond with six packaging lanes.

This allows the machine to perform:

Product feeding → six-lane dosing → sachet forming → filling → sealing → cutting → finished product discharge

in one automatic packaging cycle.

For manufacturers packing similar products, a piston pump configuration can also be considered for products such as:

gel, jelly, sauce, viscous liquid and other semi-fluid products,

subject to actual material testing.

Four Side Seal Sachet Packaging

The customer selected a four side seal sachet structure.

Four-side sealed packaging is commonly used where a clean, flat and professional sachet appearance is required.

In this project, the finished sachet dimensions are approximately:

50 mm width × 200 mm length

with the bag length adjustable up to 220 mm.

The sealing specifications are:

5 mm top and bottom seal width and 6 mm left and right seal width.

The machine also includes a right-side straight tear notch, allowing the finished sachet to be opened more conveniently.

The sealing and cutting system was configured according to the customer's confirmed sachet requirements.

600 mm Composite Film

The production order specifies a total packaging film width of 600 mm.

The machine is therefore configured around a 600 mm composite film roll for six-lane production.

During operation, the packaging film passes through the film feeding, guiding, forming and sealing sections before being divided into individual sachets.

Correct matching between film width, lane quantity and finished bag width is important for maintaining stable multi-lane production.

For this project:

6 lanes × approximately 100 mm single-lane pitch = 600 mm total film width

with a finished sachet width of 50 mm.

Stainless Steel Machine Construction

The main machine frame is manufactured from 304 stainless steel.

Stainless steel construction provides a clean industrial appearance and is widely used for food and liquid packaging applications.

For gel and jelly packaging lines, stainless steel also makes the equipment easier to clean and maintain around the filling and packaging areas.

Siemens Control System

According to the production specification, this SF-720 machine uses a Siemens control system.

The control system coordinates the main packaging processes, including:

film feeding, filling, sealing, cutting and machine operating parameters.

The touchscreen interface was customized with:

English, Chinese and Vietnamese

language options.

This allows the Vietnamese customer's operators to use the machine interface more conveniently after installation.

Safety Protection System

Machine safety was also included in the customer's confirmed configuration.

The machine is equipped with a safety door switch.

When the protective door is opened during operation, the machine can automatically stop.

This configuration helps reduce the risk of operators accessing the moving packaging mechanisms while the equipment is running.

An anti-static device was also included according to the production order.

Main Technical Specifications

Packaging Quality Requirement

For this project, the customer's production order specifies a finished packaging quality standard of:

No more than 3 unqualified bags per 1,000 sachets.

This requirement places greater emphasis on stable bag forming, sealing and cutting performance.

For multi-lane packaging machines, consistency between each lane is especially important because all lanes operate simultaneously.

During machine production and testing, attention therefore needs to be paid to:

filling consistency, longitudinal sealing alignment, horizontal sealing accuracy, film tracking and cutting position.
